It seems likely that the five-kilometre travel limit on Melburnians will ease on Sunday. Deputy Chief Health Officer Allen Cheng said on Thursday that modelling to be completed by Friday was considering factors such as increasing the movement limit to 20 kilometres.
So how far is that? The tool below lets you enter your address and then see how far you can travel without breaking the basic rule (there are some exemptions).
To use the tool, type in your address and hit "search". Your address should then appear as an option, click on the correct address option and a red circle should be generated to show you where you can travel. Please check on the map where the centre of the circle has landed as if you're on a long road it may be a little distance from your place. If that applies to you, you can also try entering the nearest side street.
The circle that you'll see will show you the direct distance - as the crow flies - so you might see a discrepancy with how far away your navigation system says things are, particularly if there's a winding road or a river on the way.
