Everton vs Man Utd: kickoff time, starting lineups, TV schedule, live ...

Everton take on Manchester United in a very unique situation. It has been a very long time since the Blues were ahead of the Red Devils in the table this far into the season, though this is as much an indictment of the Toffees’ revival as it has been of United’s utterly miserable campaign.
For the Blues anywhere above the relegation zone is a positive, and if they can maintain their current form of four wins in their last six, then who knows how far they can climb. That said, a very challenging April awaits when all five of their scheduled opponents are currently in the top six. David Moyes will be looking to rack up as many points as possible before that though.
Over at Old Trafford some very difficult conversations are being had about the future of the once-great club that has slipped and slid it’s way down the standings in the short time since Sir Alex Ferguson retired. There is some irony here today given that United had prised away David Moyes from his first stint at the Blues when Fergie left, which precipitated Everton’s slide eventually leading to this year when Moyes returned to Goodison.

The Blues somehow have found ways to shoot themselves in the foot against United in recent games. They flattered a mediocre United early in Ruben Amorim’s tenure in the game at Old Trafford on their way to a humbling 4-0 defeat, simultaneously starting Sean Dyche’s death march while giving the Red Devils false hope for the season.
Goodison always ratchets up the bear pit atmosphere whenever there is a perceived sense of injustice against the Blues. Last season, United’s visit to Goodison was preceded by the Toffees’ protests against the Premier League’s draconian decision to dock them 10 points for PSR violations. The ground was buzzing from before the game but then early on Alejandro Garnacho scored a worldie and that deflated the crowd en route to a 3-0 defeat. In fact, the Blues have lost the last six match-ups in a row, and only won once in the last ten times the two sides have met.
