Officers initially responded to gunshots, per the report, which Jones, 32, said he knew nothing about.

After a breathalyser test revealed Jones was at least twice the legal BAC limit, he was arrested.

Police reportedly found a black handgun under the driver’s seat of Jones’ car and a bottle of Recuerdo mezcal.

Many in the MMA community were quick to post their thoughts about the arrest on Twitter and it is safe to say in a time of great uncertainty, the news certainly was not a shock to them.
