Kristen Stewart opens up about ‘cagey’ romance with Robert Pattinson
Kristen Stewart has opened up about her ‘cagey’ romance to Robert Pattinson after they fell in love on the set of the Twilight series.
In a recent interview, the actress has admitted that the couple would take every step to avoid photographers.
It has been reported that clothes in cars and body doubles had been used to fool paparazzi.
‘This was a period of time when I was sort of cagey,’ she told In The Style as she opened up about her sexuality.
‘Even in my previous relationships, which were straight. We did everything we could not to be photographed doing things — things that would become not ours.’
However, their romance came crashing down after Kristen and her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders were photographed kissing.
The pictures put an end to their romance with the Charlie’s Angels star leaving a grovelling apology on People magazine.
‘I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,’ she said.
‘This momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.’
The scandal even saw US President Donald Trump giving his own unsolicited advice on the affair: ‘She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again — just watch. He can do much better!’
The actress has now been with girlfriend Dylan Meyer since the two met at a mutual friend’s birthday party in 2019.
She also spoke to the publication about her upcoming role as Princess Diana in the movie Spencer.
‘It’s one of the saddest stories to exist ever, and I don’t want to just play Diana — I want to know her implicitly. I haven’t been this excited about playing a part, by the way, in so long.’
