Majak Daw reportedly splits from partner Emily McKay after up-and-down year
Footballer Majak Daw has reportedly split from his long-time partner Emily McKay.
The pair’s separation was first reported by The Herald Sun on Friday night.
McKay and Daw have a one-year-old son, Hendrix, who will be the couple’s priority in the split.
Hendrix was born in August 2019 as Daw sat out the AFL season recovering from serious hip and pelvic injuries.
He sustained the injuries when he fell from Melbourne’s Bolte Bridge almost a year earlier.
The reported split is the latest chapter in a rollercoaster year for Daw.
He returned to the footy field in the Queensland hub for the first time since the fall but was delisted at the end of the season.
The 29-year-old says he’s looking to find a new home to play footy in 2021 but which club takes him on is yet to be seen.
McKay, meanwhile, has erased almost all evidence of their relationship from her social media profiles.
She had only recently posted a loving message to Daw and Hendrix in the form of a video montage of the two playing together.
