Rebels bikie boss Nick Martin shot dead at the Perth Motorplex in Kwinana
Senior Rebels bikie Nick Martin was last night shot dead at Perth Motorplex.
WA Police were called to the Kwinana race ring after reports of a shooting just after 8.30pm.
Two people — including Martin — were treated at the scene by ambulance officers. However, the bikie boss did not survive.
The other victim was taken by ambulance to hospital. Neither identity nor condition has been revealed at this time.
The motorplex had been hosting its Outlaw Nitro Challenge, drawing families and children to watch nitrogen-fuelled dragsters race.
People were quick to express their shock on social media after the incident, including innocent bystanders who witnessed the incident.
“Omg and i was meant to be working there tonight,” wrote Kelly Mendoza-Wílson.
“F****** cowards didn’t care that there were kids all around,” wrote Wayne Miller.
“My husband n kid were there, luckily they left earlier. omg,” wrote Anna Ha.
Michaela Marshall said she saw one person receiving CPR after the incident.
WA Police are concerned the gangland execution will spark a bikie war and its Gang Crime Squad are investigating the incident.
WA Police are calling for witnesses to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 with any information.
