The ruling BJP in Haryana has surpassed the majority mark of 46 in the Assembly, leading on 49 seats, while the Congress is ahead on 35 seats, according to the latest trends from the Election Commission website. Four independent candidates are leading, and the INLD and BSP are ahead on one seat each. The Aam Aadmi Party and the JJP have yet to secure a lead.

The leading independent candidates include Savitri Jindal from Hisar, Rakesh June from Bahadurgarh, Chitra Sarwara from Ambala Cantt, and Devendra Kadian from Ganaur.

In the Ladwa constituency, chief minister Nayab Singh Saini (BJP) is leading by 12,423 votes after 10 rounds of counting, followed by Mewa Singh of the Congress and Independent Vikram Singh Cheema.

Olympic wrestler-turned-politician Vinesh Phogat is leading in the Julana constituency with 45,293 votes after 10 rounds of counting, while her closest competitor, Yogesh Kumar of the BJP, has secured 41,151 votes.

JJP's Dushyant Chautala is trailing in the Uchana Kalan constituency, after nine rounds of counting and placing sixth. Brijendra Singh of the Congress is leading in this seat with 28,547 votes.

In the Rania seat, INLD president Abhay Chautala's son Arjun is leading over his granduncle and Independent candidate Ranjit Chautala by a margin of 6,161 votes.

BJP's Gian Chand Gupta, the outgoing speaker of the legislative assembly, has taken the lead in Panchkula with a margin of 2,034 votes by the end of round seven, receiving a total of 26,539 votes. Chander Mohan of Congress has garnered 24,505 votes.

In the Karnal assembly constituency, Jagmohan Anand of the BJP is leading with 32,052 votes, followed by Sumita Virk of the Congress with 18,970 votes, and Sunit Bindal of the Aam Aadmi Party in third place with 669 votes.

The tallying of votes for the Haryana assembly elections began at 8 am The voting process for the 90 constituencies concluded on October 5.

Postal ballots were counted first, followed by EVM counting.

93 counting centres have been established across 22 districts in the state to accommodate the 90 assembly constituencies.

Three constituencies, namely Badshahpur, Gurugram, and Pataudi, have been allocated two counting centres each, while the remaining 87 constituencies have one designated centre for the tallying process. The ruling BJP remains optimistic about securing a third consecutive term, while the Congress, out of power for a decade, is hopeful for a comeback when the results are declared on Tuesday.
