Sylvester Stallone’s wife, Jennifer Flavin, files for divorce after 25 years of marriage and three daughters

Sylvester Stallone says he and his wife Jennifer Flavin are “amicably and privately” divorcing.

“I love my family,” Stallone said in a statement to CNN.

“We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”

Flavin filed her petition in Palm Beach County, Florida on Friday, “for dissolution of marriage and other relief”.

“While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30-year relationship that we shared,” Flavin told People.

“I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters.

“I ask for privacy for our family as we amicably move forward.”

Ahead of the announcement, the Rocky actor covered up his unmissable tattoo of Flavin which spans his right shoulder.

Stallone turned the tattoo into a portrait of his beloved dog Butkus.

“Mr Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer; however, the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable,” Stallone’s publicist Michelle Bega told the Daily Mail.

“Mr Stallone loves his family. The Stallones are presently filming a reality show together which will debut on Paramount+.”

The announcement came as a response to the outlet capturing photos of the actor making drastic changes to the portrait of Flavin in a tattoo parlour.

The two had wed in 1997.

Stallone and Flavin share three daughters together, Scarlet, 20, Sistine, 24, and Sophia, 25.

On May 17, the Golden Globe winner celebrated his 25th anniversary with Flavin, a former model, by sharing a gallery of pics of the couple and their children on Instagram.

“Happy 25th anniversary to my amazing wife,” the action star wrote in his caption.

“There is not enough words to describe what this incredibly selfless dedicated, patient, woman has meant to our lives and I only wish they could be another 25! Thank you sweetheart!”

Stallone was previously married to Sasha Czack from 1974 to 1985 and to his Rocky IV and Creed II co-star Brigitte Nielsen from 1985 to 1987.

He and Czack shared sons Sage, who died of heart disease in July 2012 at age 36, and Seargeoh, 43.
