Billie Eilish addresses new relationship and age gap for first time

Billie Eilish is clearly incredibly loved up with new boyfriend Jesse Rutherford as she opened up on her relationship for the first time.

The Bad Guy hitmaker has kept her love life very private but has been sharing a little of her new romance on social media (although the relationship has already faced backlash due to the 11-year age gap).

Raving about her beau, Billie, 20, admitted she’s proud of herself for ‘locking down’ Jesse, 31.

‘I just am really inspired by this person, and, you know, he’s inspired by me. It’s really cool, and I’m really excited and I’m really happy about it,’ she said.

‘I managed to get my way to a point in my life where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest f**king f**ker alive, but pulled his a**! Are you kidding me? Can we just [get a] round of applause for me?’

Billie added to Vanity Fair: ‘I pulled his a**! All me! I did that s**t! I locked that motherf**ker down!’

She also hit back at the scrutiny her relationship has been under, saying that she’s ‘in control’.

The couple were first seen out together in public in October, after a fan posted a video to TikTok of what appeared to be Billie and Jesse holding hands as they exited one of the scary houses together at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights.

They were then spotted on two dinner dates in Los Angeles, with them exiting Studio City Indian restaurant Lal Mirch with their arms wrapped around one another on October 18.

Earlier this month they made their red carpet debut at the LACMA Art+Film Gala, wrapping up in a Gucci blanket and donning pyjama-inspired looks.

The pair have also seemingly mocked criticism over their 11-year age gap with a very controversial couples’ Halloween costume, with Billie dressing up as a baby doll and Jesse as an elderly man.

Billie was last publicly linked to Matthew Tyler Vorce, with the pair reportedly splitting in May following cheating rumours, which Matthew fiercely denied.

Meanwhile, the singer has continued to smash it, as it was recently announced that she’s headlining Prince William’s Earthshot Prize awards.

The Happier Than Ever singer will headline the night’s entertainment in Boston, which will also feature musical appearances from Annie Lennox and Ellie Goulding.

Beyoncé proteges Chloe x Halle will be joining the line-up too, with the Doja Cat collaborators completing the star-studded bill at the city’s MGM Music Hall.

The Earthshot prize, formally set up in 2020 by the Prince and Sir David Attenborough, sees a total of £1million awarded to five winners each year for their contributions to help preserve the environment.

A royal source described it as the Prince’s ‘Superbowl’ moment.
