Follow it LIVE: Port Adelaide v Western Bulldogs from 1.15pm ACST

ANOTHER bumper five-game Saturday awaits with Port Adelaide welcoming the Western Bulldogs to Adelaide Oval in the first match of the day.

Both sides are coming off wins in round 16 and will be hunting another four points as they look to establish themselves inside the top eight.

POWER v BULLDOGS Follow it LIVE

Port Adelaide has named Francis Evans as it's starting sub, while Joel Freijah will be the Bulldogs' sub.

Port (9-6) remains under the pump this week, even after last week's narrow victory over St Kilda.

The Power sit inside the top eight in seventh spot but return to their home ground this week which was the scene of their crushing defeat to the Lions a week earlier.

The Western Bulldogs (8-7) have paid the price for their inconsistency, remaining outside the top eight even after back-to-back victories.

But the Dogs could leapfrog the Power and even climb to as high as fifth spot if they can make it three wins on the trot for the first time this season, and other results fall their way.

Jase Burgoyne and Francis Evans are in for the Power, in place of Josh Sinn and Will Lorenz, while the Dogs have lost Liam Jones and Cody Weightman, plus omitted Oskar Baker, with Nick Coffield, Buku Khamis and Lachie McNeil coming in.

In the other 1.45pm AEST game, North Melbourne hosts Gold Coast at Marvel Stadium.

The Kangaroos (1-14) have improved significantly in recent weeks, with a breakthrough win against West Coast followed by close losses to finals fancies Collingwood, Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs.

KANGAROOS v SUNS Follow it LIVE

Curtis Taylor will be North's starting sub, while the Suns have named Bailey Humphrey as their sub.

The Roos still need to learn how to turn those gallant efforts into wins but will like their chances against a Gold Coast outfit that remains most vulnerable when playing away from home.

The Suns (8-7) claimed their biggest scalp of the season last week when they defeated Collingwood to extend their winning streak at home to seven matches.

But despite their red-hot form on home turf, the Suns are still hunting for a breakthrough win on the road.

The Kangaroos might be showing signs of improvement but the Suns would hope they can make the most of playing the cellar dwellers to secure a first victory in Victoria for more than a year.

Colby McKercher is back for the Roos, in place of Zac Fisher, while Ned Moyle is in for Jarrod Witts for the Suns.

A red-hot Hawthorn will travel down the highway to face the old enemy Geelong at GMHBA Stadium in the Saturday twilight slot.

Geelong (9-6) went some way to answering its critics with a commanding victory over Essendon last week.

CATS v HAWKS Follow it LIVE

The Cats showed signs of bouncing back towards their best in the win and will now be out to put distance between themselves and the chasing pack against old foes the Hawks.

But it won't be easy, with Hawthorn (8-7) turning around its winless run through the opening five matches to now have a positive win-loss record for the first time this season.

The Hawks have a challenging stretch of matches to come that will test their top-eight credentials, first against the Cats and with the Dockers and Magpies to come next.

Shaun Mannagh and Ollie Henry are back for the Cats, replacing Mark O'Connor and Jhye Clark, with the Hawks calling up Luke Breust and Mitch Lewis in place of James Sicily and Calsher Dear.

A Saturday night double-header will round out a big day of football, with Greater Western Sydney hosting Carlton at Engie Stadium and Fremantle welcoming Richmond to Optus Stadium.

The Giants (8-7) might be ahead on the win-loss ledger but there are growing signs their season is on the brink of collapse after six defeats from their past eight matches.

GIANTS v BLUES Follow it LIVE

The Giants have not scored more than 80 points in that stretch of eight matches, with their ball movement stifled at the same time as the goals have dried up.

Meanwhile Carlton (11-4) is firmly entrenched in second place on the ladder after powering away from Richmond to make it five wins in a row by an average of 43 points.

The Blues are nearing full strength and humming in all areas of the field, but are unlikely to let complacency creep in as they look to secure their first top-two finish since 2000.

The Giants have dropped Callum Brown and Max Gruzewski with Josh Kelly out injured, with Aaron Cadman, Darcy Jones and James Peatling back.

The Blues have regained Tom De Koning and Matt Cottrell, replacing Marc Pittonet and George Hewett.

Over in the west, Fremantle will be looking to continue its surge up the ladder when it hosts lowly Richmond.

The Dockers (9-5-1) sent a warning shot across the competition as they outworked and outmuscled the Sydney midfield to set up a victory that propelled them to third spot.

DOCKERS v TIGERS Follow it LIVE

They can now start to cement their top-four position against the depleted Tigers with arch-rivals the Eagles still to come amid a group of clashes with top-eight contenders.

Richmond (2-13) stayed with Carlton for more than a half last week before being blown away when its in-form rivals put the foot down after the main break.

The Tigers continue to be struck down by an injury curse that has derailed much of their campaign, but have at least given them more opportunities to unearth fresh talent in a development year.

The Dockers have regained Brennan Cox and Michael Walters, with Brandon Walker injured and Hugh Davies omitted.

The Tigers will be without Dustin Martin, who has been managed, with Noah Cumberland coming in.
