Andrei Mikhailovich continues KO streak with brutal stoppage of Ernesto Espana

Kiwi middleweight Andrei Mikhailovich continued his destructive rise up the ranks with a third-round stoppage of Venezuelan veteran Ernesto Espana in Brisbane on Wednesday night.

In the co-main event to Justis Huni versus Joe Goodall, Mikhailovich improved to 18-0 and extended his knockout streak to five fights when he dispatched the experienced Espana.

Mikhailovich, by his own admission, took a round or two to get a read on his opponent’s style and timing but when he did it came with devastating effects.

Espana was wobbled before backing up to the ropes where Mikhailovich teed off, eventually folding him with a monster right hand from which he never recovered.
